Mannvend named 'Organisation of the Year'

MannVend were thrilled to be named the “Organisation of the Year” at the Isle of Man Newspapers Awards for Excellence.  The glittering, black-tie ceremony was held on 28 November at the Gaiety Theatre, Douglas, Isle of Man in association with the Royal Bank of Scotland.

The Awards for Excellence were inspired by the Island’s ‘Freedom to Flourish’ initiative and were designed to recognise and celebrate the success of individuals and organisations in reaching their full potential in their business or personal lives.

The winners were chosen by a panel of 15 judges, which included government CEO's, independent consultants and local captains of industry.  The range of nominees demonstrated the variety and quality of businesses in the Island and the vibrancy of the Manx economy.

The award for “Organisation of the Year” was presented to Managing Director Brian Leahy by Graham Ferguson Lacey, Chairman of the Sefton Group the award sponsor.

The award acknowledged the strengths of MannVend, including:

  • The recognition of their people as their most valuable asset along with the  investment in their training and development
  • The passion for their products and services and commitment to customer care.
  • Actively seeking out customer feedback and using this to improve their products and services
  • A commitment to carrying out regular quality checks and site inspections to ensure high standards of service are maintained
  • Working to ensure their suppliers provide them with only quality products.
  • Their shareholders’ investment in new facilities and technology
  • The company’s investment in the Island’s community, including working closely with schools to promote healthy vending and various fundraising activities.

In response to the honour, managing director Brian Leahy, pictured here receiving the award on behalf of MannVend, said:  ‘Receiving this award was the proudest moment in my business life.  To be acknowledged by one’s own industry is a great accolade but to receive the award for the best organisation on the Isle of Man is truly recognition of the efforts of the whole team at MannVend.’
